Privacy policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Your privacy matters. This notice explains what personal information is involved when you visit this portfolio website or contact me, why it is used, and the choices and rights you have.

Who is responsible for your information

Arthur Stovell, based in the United Kingdom, is responsible for personal information handled in connection with this website and design enquiries. References to “I”, “me” and “my” in this notice mean Arthur Stovell.

For a privacy question or to exercise your rights, email arthur@mondial-studio.com.

Information collected

If you contact me by email or telephone, I receive the information you choose to share. This may include your name, contact details, organisation, project brief, correspondence and any files you send. Please only share information relevant to your enquiry.

Visiting the website also involves technical information such as your IP address, requested pages, browser and device information, request times and referring pages where supplied by your browser. Hosting and content-delivery services receive some of this information when delivering the site, maintaining security and producing traffic statistics.

The website does not currently provide visitor accounts, a contact form, newsletter registration or online payments. Contact links open your own email or telephone application rather than submitting a website form.

Why information is used and the lawful basis

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the relevant lawful basis depends on the purpose:

  • Enquiries and proposed projects: to answer questions and take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Client work: to communicate with you and perform an agreed contract. Where you act for an organisation rather than personally, the basis is my legitimate interest in managing the professional relationship.
  • Website operation, security and ordinary business correspondence: legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable portfolio, preventing misuse and responding to relevant communications.
  • Legal and accounting records: compliance with applicable legal obligations.
  • Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. A separate rule may require consent for non-essential device storage even where a legitimate interest applies to related personal information.

Website services and sharing

I do not sell your personal information. Information may be handled by the services needed to deliver this website, manage correspondence and provide agreed design services, or disclosed where required by law.

The website currently uses the following identifiable services:

  • Replit — website hosting and infrastructure. Hosting requests involve technical connection and usage data. The platform can provide traffic statistics, such as visitor trends, pages, referrers and device types.
  • Google Fonts — supplies the Inter and Space Mono typefaces. Your browser requests font files from Google, which receives technical request information such as your IP address, requested resources and browser details.
  • UNPKG — delivers the Website Carbon badge script used on the About and Contact pages and receives the technical information associated with that request.
  • Website Carbon — supplies the carbon estimates shown on the About and Contact pages. Its badge sends the current page URL to api.websitecarbon.com and uses browser storage to cache the result. A request also reveals normal connection information to the service. Website Carbon reports about submitted public pages may themselves be public.
  • Correspondence providers — when you email or call me, the providers involved in transmitting and handling those communications process the relevant message and contact information. Details of any additional providers used for a particular project can be requested by email.

International processing

Internet services and their suppliers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where I arrange a transfer of personal information that requires safeguards under UK data protection law, an appropriate transfer mechanism is required, such as an adequacy arrangement or approved contractual safeguards. You can contact me for information about the arrangements relevant to your information.

The external services linked above explain their own international processing. Do not assume that website information is stored only in the United Kingdom.

How long information is kept

Enquiry and correspondence records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, manage any resulting working relationship and address relevant legal or professional requirements. Project and financial records may need to be retained longer to meet contractual, tax, accounting or legal requirements.

The retention period depends on the nature of the information, whether a project proceeds and the requirements that apply. Records should be reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Contact me if you need the retention criteria for a particular record. Browser storage used by the carbon badge is described in the Cookie policy.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational precautions are used to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. If a project involves confidential or sensitive material, please discuss an appropriate way to share it before sending it.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your personal information, correct it, have it erased, restrict its use or receive it in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. These rights are subject to the conditions and exemptions in data protection law.

Email arthur@mondial-studio.com to make a request. I may need reasonable information to verify your identity. Requests will be handled within the applicable legal time limits, normally one month, subject to any lawful extension.

You can raise concerns with me and have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You do not have to contact me before approaching the ICO.

Children, external links and automated decisions

This is a professional design portfolio, not a service directed at children, and I do not knowingly seek children’s personal information through the site. Please contact me if you believe a child’s information has been provided unnecessarily.

Links to other websites, including client sites and professional profiles, take you to services with their own privacy practices. This website is not used to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

Changes and related information

This notice may be updated when the website or its services change. The date above identifies the latest revision. The Cookie policy provides more detail about browser storage and external resources.
