Brighton Veterinary Cardiology

Branding a veterinary cardiologist that never misses a beat

About the project

Brighton Veterinary Cardiology is a specialist practice offering cardiac care for cats and dogs. The core idea for the brand identity is typography that beats, bringing the rhythm of a heartbeat into the lettering itself. The intention was to move away from the familiar heart and paw iconography often used in veterinary branding, and find a more distinctive expression of the practice’s cardiac specialism. Brand identity and website design carry that idea across print and digital, balancing clinical precision with a welcoming tone and a colour palette that brings warmth to the healthcare setting.

Deliverables

The BVC lettering is conceived as a typographic heartbeat, making rhythm part of the identity rather than relying on a separate, familiar symbol. That idea can be echoed through iconography and repeated patterns, extending the same sense of pulse throughout the brand. Deep teal and warm pink give the identity a recognisable contrast, while clear typography supports the practice name and written information. The visual system carries through business cards, stationery and the website, with brand guidelines supporting a consistent use of colour, type and the logo. Together, these applications give the specialist veterinary practice an identity that feels both considered and welcoming.
